Asbestos Surveys, Management, Assessment and Awareness

asurveys delivers cost effective and expert services to ensure you achieve the most direct route to compliance.

Asbestos management plans

Asbestos Management Plans are the first step in every successful asbestos management model.
Asurveys can design a management plan for your projects. With a well-implemented plan you can ensure compliance and often avoid expensive surveying programmes and removal.

Asbestos management surveys

An asbestos management survey is usually the most routine way to achieve compliance where buildings fall within the ‘at-risk from asbestos’ category.

This type of survey aims to locate all asbestos that may be accessed or disturbed on a day to day basis or under normal maintenance. asurveys will carry out surveys for managing asbestos in non-domestic premises in line with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.

asurveys will guide you on how we plan and carry out a survey. We will report the survey findings and how they impact your project. We will further advise you on how to action the survey findings in order to ensure your project runs smoothly.

All surveys are carried out in line with current HSE guidelines and to asurveys’ in-house technical procedures.

Our unique pre-survey questionnaire ensures you receive the most accurate survey information for your route to compliance.

You can find out more about your duty to manage asbestos risk and the responsibility you have for completing surveys from the Health and Safety Executive website.

With offices in Leeds and London we work all over the UK.

Asbestos Refurbishment/ Demolition Surveys

Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys are more invasive and aim to identify all asbestos within a property where the premises or part of it, is to be upgraded, refurbished or demolished.

At asurveys we design this type of survey accurately to avoid excessive and unnecessary damage to a property. Our surveys also protect you from insufficient access which can lead to asbestos being identified during the project, causing additional unplanned costs and delays.

Refurbishment & Demolition surveys should always be undertaken when premises are unoccupied.

All surveys are carried out in line with current HSE guidelines and to asurveys’ in-house technical procedures.

You can find out more about your duty to manage asbestos risk and the responsibility you have for completing surveys from the Health and Safety Executive website.

An asbestos demolition survey (refurbishment) is required where the premises, or part of it, need upgrading, refurbishment or demolition.

Asbestos re-inspections

This provision is as a follow- up on your previous surveys and management plans to ensure that safeguarding is being maintained.

Is your asbestos being effectively monitored?

Let asurveys carry out your re-inspections to keep your information up-to-date and compliant. Any risk with asbestos is too greater risk and you could be found liable if your monitoring cannot be proved to be maintained and current.

Asbestos awareness training

Often the most poorly utilised method of asbestos compliance and in our eyes, the most valuable tool in reducing asbestos exposure in the workplace.

Who needs asbestos awareness training?

Anyone who may come into contact with or disturb asbestos in their day-to day work. It is the responsibility of employers to ensure:

  • Employees have the training and ability to carry out works without risk to themselves or others
  • Supervisors and managers have training and are aware of their responsibilities and current regulations and guidelines.

asurveys offer the standard asbestos awareness training course with a twist!

We are aware that for some, asbestos is not the most interesting topic in the world! So we try to engage the delegates with interaction, genuine asbestos samples to look at and a more open approach to learning.

Delegates are encouraged to share their own experiences and understanding of their own roles to make the key messages stick. Additional learning materials are added to help delegates understand how to read asbestos survey reports and a free of charge three month helpline after for any queries that arise.

Training is the best investment you can make to safeguard workforce safety and reduce the risks of asbestos exposure.
